PREFACE
Nursing in health sciences stands as a fundamental pillar of multidisciplinary healthcare services, continuously evolving alongside scientific knowledge and technological advancements to meet ever-changing clinical needs. Today, nursing practice transcends basic patient care; it plays critical roles in enhancing patients’ quality of life, providing holistic care throughout acute and chronic disease processes, and managing complex health issues as an integral part of multidisciplinary teams.
In this context, this book titled “Nursing Approaches in Health Sciences: Clinical Practices, Technology, and Care Processes” comprehensively addresses the broad and dynamic domains of the nursing discipline grounded in scientific principles. It brings together current clinical practices and research spanning a wide spectrum from emergency services and surgical nursing to vacuum-assisted wound therapy, early postoperative delirium management in geriatrics, symptom management in palliative care, and psychosocial support processes.
Moreover, the integration of modern technologies such as artificial intelligence into nursing practice and the transformation of patient care processes through these technologies are examined with a scientific perspective. This technology-focused approach sheds light on the future of the nursing profession in both clinical and academic settings.
We firmly believe that the studies presented herein will serve as both an informative resource and an inspiring guide for nursing professionals, researchers, and academics working in health sciences. We are confident that these valuable contributions will significantly aid the advancement of nursing science and the enhancement of healthcare quality.
We extend our gratitude to all researchers who contributed to this work and wish for the continued strengthening of nursing progress in health sciences through multidisciplinary approaches.
